This image was taken in the huron river, in a side runoff filled with rocks. I first was shown this place by a man taking my senior photos, I had to get into the rocky terrain and pose like a model. So my decision to come back here was the excitement returning back to a place of hidden mystery.
This photo just screams morning wake up to me. The way the sun shines through at the bottom of the first image is just different enough to make it special. The filtered image is very detailed yet a blur at the same time. It gives the sense that you are in a cluttered area of branches where light is everyone and you just don't want to escape.
This tree has been a favorite of mine all throughout childhood. The bark isn't standard, it is quite paper like right off the tree which makes it unique to others. I love the way this picture was taken, it reminds my of a squirrels point of view. The contrast was edited darker to really bring out the detail. My painting image is not my favorite it feels like the lighting washed it out so i would maybe try to take it a different time of day next time.
This location is like my second home, being up north in the summer is the best feeling. So when I was taking landscape photos and taking a trip around the same time I felt it was perfect. When adding the filter I was nervous that it would wash out the image (no pun intended) but, instead the clouds were the perfect shape and you are still able to see the different shades of blue in the lake which gives it more depth.
Sunsets seem to be over posted and repetitive, however this one felt more unique. I was out in a boat with my friends and when we watched the sunset that night it was perfect. The water was so clear and smooth that it was the perfect reflection. The filter really helps this image making it feel like an actual painting not just an edit.
